Clyde Gospel Hall

We are your neighbors and friends; believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. This local assembly has been here since 1962. Perhaps you have wondered what kind of a church this is. Please enjoy exploring our website to learn more about us and about what we believe the scriptures say about ourselves and our world.
The Gospel Hall is simply a hall or building where the good news of Jesus Christ is preached. A local church, or Christian Assembly, is a group of believers who meet together recognizing that Jesus Christ is Lord and that,

apart from any denominational names, His Name is the only true gathering center of the church. (Matthew 18:20) We are not part of any denomination and we don’t take any name for ourselves other than the ones given to groups of believers in the Bible. These are names that belong to, and are descriptive of, all true Christians regardless of denominational associations.

What We Teach

The earth was created in six, literal 24 hour days. (Genesis 2:1)
Man was created purposefully and directly by the Word of God and is not a product of chance evolutionary processes. (Genesis 1:27) God built into every living creature the genetic capacity to adapt to changes in its environment, while producing seed in itself ‘according to its kind.’ (Genesis 1:24, 25) Some scientists refer to this variability within species as ‘micro-evolution'.
The first man, Adam, was created in perfection but was ruined by his disobedience to God. As a result mankind is universally and utterly sinful by nature and it is impossible for him to be saved by his own works or religious observances. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5)

Man is entirely unfit for the presence of God in his natural state and must be born again before he can enter heaven. (John 3:3)Christ Jesus fully and eternally paid the penalty of man’s sin at the cross of Calvary. God Himself gave witness to this by the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:17-20)When a sinner receives Christ by faith, all sins are forever forgiven through the merit of blood of Jesus Christ. (Acts 16:31; John 1:12; Colossians 1:14)All who are thus saved should be baptized by immersion in obedience to the Lord. However, baptism itself confers no merit for attaining salvation.Every believer is commanded to remember the Lord by observation of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week. (Acts 20:27) Only those who are clean in life and at peace with God are qualified to partake of the emblems of bread and wine. (1 Corinthians 11:27-32)Only those who die in Christ will go to be with Him in heaven, and tragically, all that have rejected Him will suffer conscious and eternal torment. (Luke 16:28; 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10)The Lord Jesus is coming again to the earth to receive the living saints and raise all who have died in Christ. He will later establish His Kingdom with them on the earth and reign with them for 1000 years. (Psalm 2:6,7 ; John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:6)At the end of this Millennium, all of the unconverted dead will rise again to the judgment of the “Great White Throne” and there will be judged by God Himself according to “those things which were written in the books” and finally, “cast into the Lake of Fire” (John 5;28, 29; Acts 17:31; Revelation 20:11-15)

What We Believe

The Bible is God’s final word to man. (Hebrews 1:2) We believe it is Divinely inspired and absolutely accurate from the very first verse. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
There is one true God who eternally exists in three equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:4) Jesus Christ is the only begotten and eternal Son of God, miraculously conceived, born of a virgin, and the only One whose life and nature is absolutely sinless.   (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,23; 1 John 3:5)

Every soul that receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior is born again and becomes a member of ‘Body of Christ’ (1 Corinthians 12:27). This is a spiritual body of believers both living and dead that the Lord Himself has called out of the world system. These individuals are spoken of as Believers (Acts 5:14), Brethren (Matthew 23:8), Disciples (Acts 6:1), Christians (Acts 11:26) and Saints (Romans 1:7). This unity of faith forms the basis of scriptural fellowship in a local assembly where true believers can enjoy and exercise all of their spiritual privileges and responsibilities.

Come Worship With Us

If you are a parent, we would be delighted to have your children attend our Sunday School at 11 a.m. every Sunday. We seek to take an individual interest in each child and try to instruct him/her in the way that will lead to his/her salvation early in life. This can be a great aide in keeping their lives preserved from the darkness in our world.
Everyone is most welcome to join us every Sunday, starting at 11 a.m., to hear the Word of God taught and explained. At 12 noon a gospel message will be served. It is our desire that you will join us, and will benefit from taking in spiritual food and fellowship.
If you are not saved, our greatest desire and prayer is that you would seek the Lord while He may be found. The Gospel that will be preached is “the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.” Romans 1:16
