What If This Was the Last Christmas?

Strange question?

Just suppose that Christianity is outlawed in the United States. That is not as far-fetched as you might think.

Christians are already being banned on social media sites because the message of the gospel is considered hateful and divisive. Christians all over the world are losing government protections. As the movement toward globalism increases, constitutional protections are systematically being done away with. These protections presently act as a check against persecutions of various groups that do not behave in accordance with the politically correct edicts of the globalist elites.

There are a few scenarios that I can envision:

  1. The globalists that have already attempted several assassination attempts against President Trump will be successful in removing him from power by any means necessary. Then will follow a backlash against evangelical Christianity that supported him in the last election.

  2. The Lord returns to catch the church away and leaves behind those whose faith was in their church system rather than in the Lord Himself. This will result in a rapid movement toward global governance.

  3. There will be time of great awakening and Spiritual revival before the Lord returns as a result of the success of President Trump and the patriots that believe in preserving sovereign nation states. Their success will expose the satanically inspired criminality of the global elites with their policies of fomenting wars and instability through international politics, human trafficking, drug trafficking and currency manipulations.

  4. Some combination of these three scenarios.

Where are we now in terms of Biblical prophecy?

At the time of this writing, President Trump just announced the complete pull out of American troops from Syria that is to accompany a wide ranging peace treaty. This creates a paradigm shift in global power alliances as the United States steps away from direct military involvements in the Middle East. This is another step toward disrupting the world order that placed America presidents as world ‘meddlers-in-chief’ since the end of World War 2.

More significantly, it allows for 2500 year old prophecies to be fulfilled. In particular, this refers to Ezekiel’s prophecy regarding an unlikely alignment of nations against Israel and also Isaiah’s prophecy in ch. 17 regarding the utter destruction of one of the world’s oldest continually inhabited cities, Damascus.

Ezekiel 38

The nations designated in Ezekiel’s prophecy are ancient names for territories that according to scholars correspond as follows:

Gog and Magog = Gog is referred to as the chief ruler of Meshech and Tubal. This ruler is over a land called Magog. Anthropologists indicate that this is consistent with the area of Russia and Ukraine with Meshech = ancient name for the area around Moscow and Tubal = Ancient name for Tobolsk located in west central Russia.

Persia, Libya and Ethiopia are also allied with them indicating that present day Iran and the nations of northern Africa. Interestingly, Syria or ‘the Assyrian’ is not mentioned in this alignment. Iran and Sudan are presently working with Russian and Iranian military in Syria.

As far as I can tell from my reading, during at least the last four millenia, Russia and the Persian peoples (Iran) have never been allies and have in fact been traditional enemies of one another.

In fact, as far as I can tell, (let the reader search this out) the group of nations listed as allies of Russia in Ezekiel 38 have never before been aligned as they are today.

According to this prophecy, these nations have conspired to invade Israel called, “the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations…” Ezek 38:11

However, at present, Israel is being regathered, but it is not yet in a place of ‘dwelling safely, without walls’. Such a condition would require some assurances of peace that allows them to prosper without fear. This would serve to entice this coalition with an irresistible hook in its jaw to come and ‘take a spoil’.

This brings us to another as yet unfulfilled prophecy…

Isaiah 17

Damascus, Syria is arguably the world’s oldest continually inhabited city. It has never in its long history been desolated to the point of being ‘taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap’. Yet this is precisely what Isaiah’s prophecy details for us. (v.1)

Moreover, it’s own demise is tied to the demise of Israel “The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.” – Isa 17:3-4 KJV

Israel’s glory will all but disappear and be destroyed except for the intervention of God Himself.

“The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.” Isaiah 17:13-14 KJV

“And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.”   Ezekiel 38:21-23 KJV

Presently, Damascus Syria is the staging ground for weapons to be aimed against Israel. Could these weapons be of such lethality that their detonation through deliberate or accidental discharge permanently poison the area making it uninhabitable?

A Deadly Wound Healed

What the world is beginning to see is just how pervasive the evil of globalism is. Does a global conspiracy appear preposterous? Can it be that globalist elites have manipulated the lives of ordinary people for centuries with an end game plan for a new world order?

Is there evidence that the sovereignty of nations is at risk and that one world currency, one world religion and one world government is being promoted?

This exactly what was revealed and recorded nearly 2000 years ago by the apostle John in his writings called the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The vision of globalism there is that of a beast rising out the sea and given great authority. Anyone who will not submit to this new world order will be killed…

[Rev 13:1, 3, 15 KJV] “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. … 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. … 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

As bad as the previously described invasion of Israel is, the invasion described in Ezekiel 38 is only the prelude to an even greater period of Jewish persecution called ‘the great tribulation’.

It is described by the Lord Jesus as a time of intense and unparalleled persecution. It is recorded in Mat 24:21 KJV “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

Could it be that what we see happening today is that the curtain is being pulled back for a time for people to see what awaits a world without a restrainer working against these globalist forces?

As of this writing people all over the world are rising up against their enslaving governments. How far this movement goes remains to be seen. What is revealed in the Holy Bible is that ever since the tower of Babel, men have sought for a one world government through a unified religious system.

Even as God restrained that movement then, He is working to restrain that movement today. The apostle Paul spoke of one who acts as a restrainer that will one day be taken out of the way…

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains [will do so] until He is taken out of the way.” 2 Th 2:7

So, until that happens, it is at least possible that the globalist beast may suffer a severe defeat with one of its heads receiving a deadly wound rendering the beast in a weakened and ineffectual.

Are we witnessing that happen today?

ABC’s of Salvation

Who is the restrainer? Presently, God is taking out of every tongue, tribe and nation of mankind a body of believers called His church. This body is indwelt and empowered by His Holy Spirit.

It is the prayers of the saints that the Holy Spirit uses to work effectually in bringing supernatural power to bear against the schemes of the evil one, also called Lucifer or Satan.

Globalist elites worship Lucifer. So the choice for each of us is simple. We either embrace their lies that have enslaved us or embrace the truth that can set us free.

The truth is amazingly simple and summed up in the following ABC’s of Salvation.

Admit that you are a sinner

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” [Rom 3:23 NKJV]

“Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; [There is] none who does good, No, not one.” [Psa 53:3 NKJV]

“They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” [Rom 3:12 NKJV]

Believe that Jesus died for your sins and is risen again

“For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” [2Co 5:21 NKJV]

“But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”  Heb 10:12-14 NKJV

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” [Rom 5:1 NKJV]

Call upon the name of the Lord

“For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” [Rom 10:13 NKJV]

The Lord says that this is what it is going to look like right before He appears on the world scene.

Would it not be wise for you to be ready?
